FAQ

What is the difference between laser cutting and water cutting in sheet metal?

The difference between laser cutting and water cutting in sheet metal is that a laser beam heats up the material and divides it, which gives an evenly fine cut. In water cutting, a water jet is used with a mixture of sand, which under very high pressure divides the material and you get a slightly more uneven cut surface. When water cutting, you can also cut flammable and porous materials.
