Visor for home care and nursing homes

We wanted to help society during the Corona crisis and realized that we would do the best and greatest benefit by quickly producing protective visors for home health care and nursing homes. We punch and bend the visor and will dedicate the entire Easter weekend to mounting them as well.

Visir Romator – developed in collaboration with medically knowledgeable people

Plåt & Mekano Romator has now started to manufacture protective visors for staff in home care and nursing homes. We have developed our own model which we call Visir Romator, which was developed in collaboration with medically knowledgeable people. We have currently delivered about a hundred visors to Täby municipality, which was the first to receive them. The joy was great there, as the alternatives were to have no visors at all.

We punch out the plastic visors, bend them and assemble them in the company’s premises in Täby church village. So far, we have started with a test round that we distribute, partly for free and partly at material cost price. Now we want to try to cover our costs by charging a small amount for the visor; we want the company to survive and be able to retain staff without redundancies now during the Corona period. In order to manage the manufacture of visors, we also try to bring in extra staff – the most important thing is to get the visor out to the home care staff as quickly as possible, so that they are not unsure about spreading the infection.
