A focused, perpendicular and thin beam from a high-power laser converts the energy of the surface into heat, causing the affected area of the workpiece to melt or completely vaporise. Laser cutting begins when the laser beam penetrates the material, which happens at a specific point. After a selected programme, the laser system separates the material in the process.
The thickness of the sheets that can be cut depends on various factors:

- The skill and routine of the operator to set all the parameters of the machine.

Amada LC 2012 C1 Laser cutting combination machine
Our laser department has no less than three combination laser machines, a very good capacity in the industry. In addition to two Apelio combination laser machines, we have an Amada combination laser LC 23012 C1, all of which are in production around the clock. The machines are of the CO2 laser type, 2kW with integrated punching units in the same machine as the laser unit. In other words: Two machines in one.
- For a part that includes mouldings, countersinks and threads, Amada saves set-up time and provides a time and cost-effective production.
- The machine can make engravings, punch markings, collars and dents, as well as punch smaller bends with tools directly in the machine.
- We can cut sheet steel 0.5 - 10 mm, stainless steel 0.5 - 5 mm and aluminium 0.5 - 5 mm.
- We can cut plates up to size 2500 x 1250 mm.
