A focused, thin and perpendicular beam from a high-power laser converts the energy of the sheet metal surface into heat and melts or completely vaporises the affected area of the workpiece. The actual laser cutting begins when the laser beam has penetrated the material at a certain point. The laser system follows a selected programme and separates the material in the process.
It is the performance of the machine, the cutting speed, the quality of the material and the operator's skill and routine in setting all the parameters of the machine that determine the thickness that can be cut and the result. We have good experience with all these factors.

Our Amada LC 2012 C1 Laser cutting combi machine
Our laser department is blessed with no less than three combination laser machines, which is a good capacity in the industry. Next to our two Apelio combination laser machines, the Amada combination laser LC 2012 C1 is in production around the clock. All three are of the CO2 laser type, 2kW with integrated punching units in the same machine as the laser unit. So it's two machines in one!
- For the right type of part that includes mouldings, countersinks and threads, this machine saves set-up time and allows for faster and more cost-effective production.
- The machine can make engravings, punch markings, collars and dents, as well as punch smaller bends with tools directly in the machine.
- We can cut sheet steel 0.5 - 10 mm, stainless steel 0.5 - 5 mm and aluminium 0.5 - 5 mm.
- We can cut plates up to size 2500 x 1250 mm.
