    Laser cutting - How it works

    From a high-power laser, a thin, perpendicular and focussed beam is directed at the workpiece. When the beam hits the surface of the sheet metal, the energy is converted into heat and the material melts or completely vaporises. At a certain point, the laser beam penetrates the material and laser cutting begins. The selected programme guides the laser system, which separates the material in the process.

    Amazing Amada LC 2012 C1 Laser cutting combination machine

    In addition to two Apelito combi laser machines, we also boast an Amada combi laser LC 2012 C1, all three of which are in production around the clock. They are of the type CO2 laser 2kW with integrated punching units in the same machine as the laser unit. This gives us two machines in one!

    • Amada gives us a faster set-up time and a more cost-effective production for parts containing countersinks threads and mouldings
    • The machine can perform corrugations, dents, engravings, small bends and punch labelling with tools - directly in the machine.
    • We can cut steel sheet 0.5 - 10 mm, stainless steel 0.5 - 5 mm and aluminium 0.5 - 5 mm, as well as cut sheets up to a size of 2500 x 1250 mm.
