How is sheet metal edging done?

In strong machines with two tools - a knife above and a pad below - the sheet metal is placed against a stop in the machine. The machine then pushes the material down into the pad, creating an angle in the sheet at the radius of the tool. The machine can be loaded by robots or manually.
